We are members of the United States Rottweiler Club (U.S.R.C.), National Independent Rottweiler Klub (NIRK), and the East Bay Rottweiler Klub (EBRK). Van Dooren Rottweiler is a family run kennel that raises, trains, and breeds Rottweilers because of our passion for the Rottweiler breed. All of our dogs are raised in our home with my wife and kids. I believe this helps develop our young Rottweiler puppies into a Rottweiler adult that possesses the true character of the breed. By this I mean a Rottweiler that is confident, loyal, courageous, smart, has working ability, protective of its family, and most important a great family pet. In our opinion, the temperament is the single most important aspect of the breed.
Our goal is to breed the perfect Rottweiler in terms of the FCI breed standard, one that has a great temperament, great structure, has a strong working ability, and beautiful looks. We follow the FCI Rottweiler Breed standard used by the ADRK in Germany, which, we believe is the standard of what a Rottweiler should be. The German Rottweiler Breeders live by a high standard and that is what we follow.
We believe that everyone deserves to own a Rottweiler as great as the ones my family has been fortunate to have as part of our family. In our Kennel you will not find an abundance of dogs. We believe in keeping our kennel a manageable size in order to give our dogs the attention and training they need to become an exceptional adult dog. In order to provide you with a great Rottweiler we only breed Rottweilers puppy that pass all of their health checks including dogs that only have cleared hip and elbow test, are V (excellent) rated in the show ring, and has a sound temperament.
